50 years ago Snooker started on television with Pot Black. The ROKiT World Seniors One Frame Challenge with celebrate that event with a Tournament staged at the iconic St Georges Hall in Liverpool. The date is Friday 24th January 2020 where 8 invited legends of the game, including some former winners, will once again do battle over a single frame whilst recounting memories of their first experiences of playing snooker on TV.
The MDSBA are proud to announce a fantastic new Centurion Board for the upcoming season which will feature in all Merseyside competitions and affiliated leagues. We are delighted that ABC Snooker will sponsoring our new scheme for the 2019/2020.
Merseyside is blessed with a high number of players who are capable of scoring centuries and this season the player who hits the highest break over all formats will be rewarded with a special cash bonus.
There will be two separate awards. The first award is for the player who hits the highest break across all individual MDSBA competitions. This will be sponsored by ABC Snooker. Any player who scores a century in the competitions will go on to our centurion board for the season. The second award is for the player who scores the highest break across all affiliated leagues which the MDSBA will sponsor. Any cup match break will not count towards the award. Any player who hits a break of 80+ will go on the Affiliated league break board for the season. The awards come into effect from the start of the league season in September.

The snooker season is nearly upon us again, and we are delighted to announce our brand new calendar for 2019/2020 season. We have more tournaments than ever before including our 3 ‘major’ tournaments, the return of our George Scott Pro-Am, the second edition of our Q school satellite tournament and many more events such as inter league events and county matches.
